Genuine scrap-work quilts.

What does that mean? It means I really truly do not buy new fabric. I use various forms of cast off textiles, from upholstery samples to old clothes. The thread is partial commercial spools. The batting is old comforters, blankets and sometimes a bag of batting out of grandma's estate. The backings are Thrift-store/garage-sale sheets.

To say there are no two alike would be almost silly.

Make-your-own-memory Quilt

Any pattern or style can be used to make your own memory. The cost of a quilt can have considerable range depending on complexity and size. I have below several examples of patterns, with particulars on the quilt and a price to help you get an idea. (All of these are sold.)

How would this work? First you collect up the textiles you would like in a memory quilt. Then you write me a letter and tell me about the fabrics, where they are from, what you want. Tell me how large you would like it, and if you know, what pattern you want. And we can discuss options until we both know what you want, and then I will make it.

I also usually have a few finished quilts from my own scraps. I usually sell at Fairs/Shows, but I would be happy to send pictures of what is available with specifics and prices upon request.
